1982

Nevertheless, a load research conference was held in Salt Lake City in April of 1982. Seventeen utilities, two consultants, an EPRI representative, and the AEIC Load Research Committee chairman attended the meeting. The WSLRG held a separate meeting one day prior to the conference to allow for the informal exchange of information. The conference lasted a day and a half and included formal presentations about load research projects. These were submitted for inclusion in the annual AEIC Load Research Committee report.

The October 1982 meeting was held in Seattle. In addition to the informal discussions, presentations were given on: demand diversity studies, voltage reduction studies, conservation efforts and results, end use study proposals, peak responsibility studies, and weather sensitivity. The Group also heard reports on EPRI projects currently in progress and the final report on RP 1820: Load Data Transferability.

The Group was asked about further participation with the AEIC Load Research Committee. However, most of the participants were vehemently opposed to the idea. The agenda committee was left to decide on any further contact.
